REACH declaration template 2026: free SVHC declaration generator

EU buyers ask their suppliers for a REACH declaration: do the products contain a substance of very high concern from the Candidate List above 0,1 % by weight? Type your company, products and answer; the generator writes the declaration in English, naming the list version it was checked against, ready to copy, print or save as PDF.

Checked against the sources on 17 October 2026

Name and part or model number of each product the declaration covers.
Do the products contain a Candidate List substance above 0,1 % by weight?

Candidate List of 2026-02-04, 253 entries (read on the ECHA site on 2026-10-17). The 0,1 % applies to each article in the product, for example each part of an assembly.

Tick only if you have checked the restrictions yourself; this generator does not check them.

The declaration is in English, in our wording: REACH has no official model and Article 33 sets no language. Your entries stay as you typed them, and rows that cannot be read are marked TO COMPLETE. Sign it, and review it when ECHA updates the Candidate List. Not legal advice.

RoHS and REACH kit: The RoHS declaration of conformity in 9 languages and the technical documentation, with the same REACH information, as Word files (paid).

What Article 33 asks

Any supplier of an article containing a Candidate List substance in a concentration above 0,1 % weight by weight gives the recipient of the article sufficient information, available to the supplier, to allow safe use of the article, including, as a minimum, the name of that substance (Article 33(1) of REACH). A consumer who asks gets the same information free of charge within 45 days (Article 33(2)).

The 0,1 % is counted per article. In a product made of several articles, such as a cable with a plug, each article that keeps its own shape counts on its own (Court of Justice, case C-106/14). A supplier of an article is any producer or importer of an article, distributor or other actor in the supply chain placing an article on the market (Article 3(33)); REACH duties fall on actors in the EU, which is why the EU importer asks its supplier abroad for this declaration.

The Candidate List version

ECHA adds substances to the Candidate List from time to time, so a declaration only means something with the version it was checked against. This one names it: on 17 October 2026 the list on the ECHA site was last updated on 4 February 2026 and had 253 entries; ECHA expects the next update in June 2027. The declaration says it is reviewed when the list changes.

What this declaration does not cover

  • notification to ECHA, by a producer or importer of articles in the EU, of a Candidate List substance above 0,1 % w/w and above one tonne per producer or importer per year (Article 7(2)), unless exposure can be excluded or the substance is already registered for that use (Article 7(3) and (6));
  • the SCIP database: under the national laws implementing Article 9(1)(i) of the Waste Framework Directive, suppliers of articles in the EU also give the Article 33(1) information to ECHA;
  • the restrictions of Annex XVII of REACH: the generator prints your statement only if you tick it, and does not check them.

For electrical and electronic equipment, the RoHS and REACH kit writes the RoHS declaration of conformity and technical documentation with the same REACH information.

Selling a hazardous substance or mixture itself? The safety data sheet kit writes the safety data sheet REACH Article 31 asks for, in Word in every EU language.

Nothing you type leaves your browser. The declaration states only what you enter: it does not test your products or check substances against the list. Not legal advice.
