EUDR risk assessment template and due diligence kit for importers

If you import coffee, cocoa, rubber, palm oil, soya, wood or cattle products, or anything made from them, you must exercise due diligence before each product enters the EU market and keep the record for five years. List your products and suppliers once; the kit writes the risk assessment, the due diligence system and the questionnaire for your suppliers as Word files in English or German, quoting Regulation (EU) 2023/1115.

Checked against the sources on 21 October 2026

Your company (the operator)
For the due diligence statement of products you import or export (Annex II).
Your role under the EUDR
Is your company an SME?

Micro, small or medium-sized under Directive 2013/34/EU: it does not exceed two of the three limits for balance sheet, net turnover and staff. Your accountant knows. Large companies have extra duties.

Name and position. Required for large companies (Article 11(2)(a)); for an SME, the person responsible.
Who checks your EUDR procedures independently (Article 11(2)(b)): an internal audit team or an outside auditor.
A web address (Article 12(3)).
Name, postal address, email and web address of each business you supply these products to (Article 9(1)(f) or 5(3)(b)).

Products

Product 1
At least 4 digits, as on your invoice; it is checked against Annex I.
As on your invoice, for example green coffee beans, not roasted.
The name it is sold under, if any.
So the importer can match this sheet to the shipment.
Digits only, with a point as decimal mark, for example 19200.
Only if the customs tariff has one for this code, for example number of items or volume in m³.

Plots of land from your supplier

Open the GeoJSON, KML or CSV file your supplier sent you, for example from our exporter kit. It is read in your browser and checked against Article 2(28) and the rules of the EU Information System.

2-letter codes separated by commas, for example CO, BR. Added to the countries in the plot file.

The plot file is not kept in this browser: open it again after reloading the page or coming back from the payment page.

Risk assessment criteria (Article 10(2))

For each criterion, what you checked and what you found. (a) is filled in from the country list; add a note if needed. Empty criteria are marked TO COMPLETE in the file.

Your conclusion

Check: Describe the product.

Error: Enter the HS code.

Check: Enter the net mass in kilograms.

Check: No plot file yet: the geolocation is marked TO COMPLETE. Ask your supplier for it with the questionnaire.

Check: Fill in the supplier's name, postal address and email (Article 9(1)(e)).

Check: No country of production yet: the country risk is marked TO COMPLETE.

Check: 13 criteria have no information yet: they are marked TO COMPLETE.

Check: No conclusion yet: the statement data says not to submit.

What is in the files

  • for each product: the risk assessment of Article 10, every criterion of Article 10(2) quoted from the Official Journal with your findings, your conclusion and the mitigation of Article 11; or, when every country of production is low risk, the simplified due diligence record of Article 13;
  • for each product: the data you enter in the EU Information System for the due diligence statement (Annex II), and the supplier's plot file checked and ready to upload;
  • your due diligence system under Article 12, with the duties that apply to your size: compliance officer, independent audit and public report for large companies;
  • a questionnaire for your suppliers in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese, and the annual review as a calendar file;
  • for downstream operators and traders, whose products already carry a statement: the record of Article 5 with suppliers, statement reference numbers and customers.

What the kit does for you

  • Country risk filled in: each country of production is looked up in the list of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1093 by its exact code. A code the list does not settle, such as a territory, is shown as one to check, never guessed.
  • Simplified due diligence offered only when it applies: when every country is low risk. Add a standard-risk country and the kit switches back to the full assessment.
  • Your supplier's plot file read and checked: GeoJSON, KML or CSV, for example from our EUDR exporter kit, against Article 2(28) and the rules of the Information System, before you upload it.
  • No statement data marked ready until your record concludes that the risk is negligible: an open or non-negligible conclusion says not to submit, as Article 4 requires.
  • One price for all your products and suppliers, paid once. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Who it is for

Importers, food and timber companies, distributors and retailers in the EU that place relevant products on the market or export them. A supplier outside the EU needs the EUDR exporter kit instead; what the statement contains is on the due diligence statement page.

What the kit does not do

It does not assess land, suppliers or satellite images, and it does not decide whether a risk is negligible: the conclusion is yours. It never writes that products are deforestation-free or legal and does not submit anything to the Information System. Whatever you leave empty is marked TO COMPLETE.

Nothing you type leaves your browser; the files are built on your device. Templates, not legal advice.
